Find My iPhone Online is an advanced feature created by Apple when you lose your iPhone. How to track iPhone or iPad with Find My iPhone
- The first step is to sign in apple ID or icloud ID install Find my iPhone app. You can use the Find My iPhone app from any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This app does not have to be installed on your own device. For example, you can use iPhone friends to track our lost iPhone. As mentioned above, You can also login to iCloud.com from any computer and use Find My iPhone.
- On iPhone or iPad, log in using our own Apple ID and password. Once logged in, Find My iPhone will display a split screen with the map above, and a list of devices associated with your Apple ID at the bottom. Tap on a device that has been lost or stolen to find.
How to play sound on a lost device:
Once located tap on the "Actions" button at the bottom of the screen. We will then be offered 3 choices. One option is to "Play Sound." This is great if you lose your phone around the house and it is in silent mode, for example. Will play the sound so you can find if it is nearby. Devices that only play sound will also display "Find My iPhone Alert" on its Lock screen, as seen below.
When the instructions to the missing device: If your device is not nearby, we can get directions to the location. Press on the "Action" button and in the top right corner of the screen, and press the car icon. It will launch the Maps app and provide driving directions to the device. Note that if you believe our device was stolen (not just lost), I recommend putting it into "lost mode". By Find My iPhone Online will soon find your lost iPhone.
