Excited, Apple will sell the cheaper iPhone on the next generation.

Apple reportedly will release three models of iPhone in this year, the latest version of iPhone SE, iPhone X, including iPhone X Plus. the Cupertino-based company is said to be changing plans for one of the new iPhone models.


Reported by Digitimes, the direct successor of iPhone X released this year will use cheaper materials. the latest selling price of iPhone X will be cheaper. According to information obtained from Apple's supply chain, the company plans to reduce material costs by 10 percent. By comparison, the material cost required for one iPhone X in 2017 is about US $ 400. Senior Digitimes analyst Luke Lin predicts the 5.85 inch iPhone X will be the cheapest of the three iPhone models in 2018. 

For your information, the company led by Tim Cook is said to be releasing two models of iPhone X in this year, each measuring 5.85 inches and 6.45 inches. Both are rumored to be using a screen made of OLED panels. Apple has also managed to negotiate with Samsung Display to supply the iPhone X screen.  can not be predicted as cheap as what Apple will membanderol latest smartphone.

Apple has also reportedly been exploring with LG to supply OLEDs. But until now, the two companies have not reached an agreement. Reported by Softpedia, LG in a document states the company has not made one OLED panel for iPhone X. LG also added that there has been no agreement reached with Apple on the matter. Apple reportedly glance at LG as a new supplier of OLED panels for the iPhone X so as not to rely too much on Samsung. The country's rival is the only OLED panel supplier for Apple today.

Various reports of plans on cooperation between Apple and LG has been widely circulated. One of them says Apple has invested in an LG production facility, which focuses fully on producing iPhone screens. Apple and LG executives have not given any official statement. But at least with LG's latest document, it is known that the two companies have not worked together to supply OLED panels.

On the other hand, iPhone X sales were not so special. As a result, Apple was forced to cut production of smartphones with the bezeless screen. According to information reported by Nikkei, Apple itself has cut production target of iPhone X by 50 percent.  This production cuts are accompanied by the fact that there are some countries whose iPhone X sales continue to decline, including the United States, China, and Europe. 

The company, based in Cupertino, California, United States (US) has even been providing information suppliers suppliers about the cutting of production targets. Thus, the number of iPhone X production units that should have available 40 million units in the first quarter of this year, was trimmed to 20 million units.
